Harpist Arthur O’Neill Evening Friday 29th August 2014

 The ONeill Country Historical Society in association with Eglish Historical Society as part of the Benburb Festival, are holding a Heritage Evening exploring the myths and legends of Arthur ONeill, one of the last of the travelling harpers; 1734 -1816. It will be held in THE BOTTLE OF BENBURB on Friday the 29th August 2014.

The evening starts with a bus tour of Eglish Heritage Trail, taking in some of the key sites  associated with the  harper.

The bus leaves Benburb at 7PM sharp and returns to Benburb at app 9pm, where refreshments will be served, followed by a short   film on the life of  Arthur ONeill. The evening will finish off with a session of traditional music.

Cost for the evening events including the bus trip – £10.

Students and Senior Citizens –£5.
